Meet Zachary Gebis

Engineering the future. Living it now.

Zachary Gebis is a systems thinker, automation architect, and relentless innovator building the future, one line of code, one circuit, and one idea at a time.

His fascination with technology began early. In elementary school, he rewired every light in his family’s West Chicago home to be controlled from his laptop, well before “smart home” was a buzzword. By high school, he launched Lights of Illinois, a synchronized holiday light show that went viral globally and landed him on the radar of major tech retailers and media outlets.

Zach isn’t just known for creativity, he executes. He earned business and marketing degrees from Northern Illinois University, equipping him to scale vision into reality. Since then, he’s been behind a wide range of forward-thinking projects involving AI, computer vision, IoT, and full-stack systems integration.

But his most ambitious endeavor? PowerLogic AI a flagship platform that fuses cloud computing, local automation, and behavioral intelligence into one cohesive, adaptive ecosystem. It’s not just a smart home system, it’s an orchestration engine.

PowerLogic AI manages everything from lighting and HVAC to high-load devices like EV chargers, water heaters, and home servers. It analyzes real-time energy pricing, behavioral trends, and environmental conditions to make intelligent, split-second decisions that reduce waste, optimize efficiency, and enhance comfort.

At scale, PowerLogic AI has the potential to help balance grid demand by intelligently deferring non-critical loads during peak times and dynamically adapting to utility signals. It’s a system designed not just to serve one home, but to be part of a broader, smarter energy future.

At his own home, waking up feels like stepping into the future. Every light, fan, and appliance feeds into a private, cloud-synced database monitored by his custom-built AI assistant, “Tau.” With every data point, the system grows smarter learning preferences, reacting to micro-patterns, and maintaining perfect harmony without lifting a finger.

This obsession with seamless integration drives Zach to connect and unify the disconnected. He sees every device as a node, every process as an opportunity to optimize.

“Opportunities don't happen, you create them.”
